Thiruvananthapuram: Akhil, a third year Political Science student in University college, had undergone surgery in Medical college hospital after being stabbed by students of SFI, is now recovering slowly and staying in the hospital. Police will be recording Akhil’s statement today. The investigation team will seek doctors’ permission to take Akhil’s statement.
Police will also submit request to take main accused Sivaranjith and Nazeem under custody. Thiruvananthapuram Judicial Magistrate court will decide on the police request. Police requires these accused in custody so as to recover the weapons used for the attack.
It has been hinted that more culprits will be surrendered today itself.
