Thiruvananthapuram: High level police meeting, headed by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has begun in Thiruvananthapuram. Nedumkandam custodial death and some present time incidents of police torture has tarnished the image of the state Government and hence the meeting. The meeting will discuss about the third degree tortures and ‘uruttikkola’, the barbarous method of rolling over heavy rods on the accused on custody.
DySPs and other high level officials are taking part in the meeting. Additional SPs, State House Officers and officials from all districts will also join the meeting via video conferencing.
