Thiruvananthapuram: The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SIFO) intensifies its investigation into the transactions involving Exalogic Solutions, owned by the Chief Minister’s daughter, Veena Vijayan, and Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited (CMRL), a mining company. An inspection was conducted on Wednesday at the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation’s (KSIDC) office in Thiruvananthapuram as part of the ongoing investigation.
Furthermore, SFIO has requested additional information from the Income Tax Department regarding the CMRL-Exalogic controversy. Discrepancies in CMRL’s income tax returns have been identified by SFIO, prompting inspections at CMRL’s corporate office in Aluva over the past two days. The investigative body seeks further clarification on the financial transactions of the company, and additional documentation has been sought from the Income Tax Department to aid in the inquiry.
