Kochi: The interrogation of rape case against Bishop Franco Mulakkal will go on today too as the final decision on his arrest was not decided even after hours long questioning on Thursday. The investigation team had questioned Franco Mulakkal seven hours on Tuesday and Wednesday. Bishop returned to the hotel in Maradu around 7 pm last night.The questioning will continue today too.The interrogation took place at Thrippunithura hi tech cell.
On Wednesday,while questioning,Police sought answers from the Bishop and on Thursday, the team produced collected proofs to get minute analysis on the contradictory statements given by the Bishop.
It was reported that Bishop may be arrested on Thursday itself.Meanwhile, Franco Mulakakl has been temporarily removed from his pastoral responsibilities and auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of the Archdiocese of Mumbai has been appointed for the same.
