Thiruvananthapuram: The IAS Officers Association has penned a letter to the Chief Secretary, pressing for the payment of outstanding Dearness Allowance (DA) dues. A copy of the letter has also been forwarded to the Chief Minister. Last July, the central government raised DA from 42 percent to 46 percent. However, IAS officers in the state are still awaiting 4% of their dues for the past 7 months.
While officers in other states have received increased DA, Kerala officers have not received their dues. Meanwhile, state government employees are owed 21% in DA dues. The state government has announced that out of the 6 dues, one installment will be disbursed along with the April salary.
