Thiruvananthapuram: The Pravesh Puja ceremony of BJP’s new state office ‘K G Marar Bhavan’ will be held today. The new complex has been built on the site of the old state office at Aristo Junction, Thiruvananthapuram. Special pujas were held in the morning. The Palukachu ceremony is scheduled at 11.30 am. All senior leaders, including former Kerala state BJP presidents, will attend today’s function. The official inauguration of the office will be held another day.
(Palukachu ceremony as is known in Kerala or the Pravesh puja wherein after the entry into the new building and before it starts functioning, milk is boiled as an auspicious custom. Boiling milk is considered to be bringing in good luck and prosperity)
The building is built on 60,000 sqft across 7 floors at 55 cents with state-of-the-art systems based entirely on Kerala architecture. It is fully equipped with central AC system, 300+ capacity auditorium, meeting center, media rooms and digital libraries.
The new ‘K G Marar Bhavan’ also has modern equipped press conference halls, special rooms for channel discussions, food centers, spacious President’s office and offices for various Cells and Morchas (Yuva Morcha, Mahila Morcha, Karshaka Morcha etc.,).
