Ernakulam: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) intensified its pursuit against former Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac in the KIIFB Masala Bond case. In a recent development, the ED, during proceedings in the High Court, stated that Isaac is not cooperating with the investigation.
ED filed an affidavit countering Isaac’s petition challenging the summonses issued in connection with the case. The affidavit underscores Isaac’s reluctance to furnish requested documents essential to the investigation. In the affidavit, the ED pointed out that they have the authority to investigate the case and that the Court cannot interfere in the matter.
Thomas Isaac, in his defence, contends that the ED is hunting him and the summons is illegal. ED has sent notices to Thomas Isaac five times in the Masala bond case.
