Wayanad: In response to the continuous wildlife attacks in Mananthavady, Wayanad, authorities have decided to appoint a special officer with the rank of Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF). This officer will be vested with special powers to effectively address the issue. The purpose of the appointment is to coordinate activities against the wildlife menace.
Additionally, two Rapid Response Team (RRT) units will be established. This decision was made during a meeting of Wayanad’s elected representatives, held in the presence of the Chief Minister. Furthermore, the meeting emphasized the importance of ensuring free treatment for individuals injured in wild animal attacks, extending this provision to private hospitals as well.
