Thiruvananthapuram: A high-level meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to assess the situation of wildlife attacks in Wayanad. It has been decided to install 250 more cameras to monitor the movement of wild animals into residential areas. In this regard, coordination among Forest, Police, and Revenue departments will be ensured. Additionally, instructions have been given to bolster the presence of police and forest department personnel where necessary.
Efforts will be made to raise awareness among the public, including organizing microphone campaigns and conducting campaigns through local police stations. Furthermore, a high-level meeting will be convened under the leadership of ministers to address these issues. This meeting will take place at the Wayanad Collectorate and will be attended by the Ministers of Revenue, Forest, and Local Self-Government. District representatives and officials will also participate in the meeting.
