Alappuzha: SNDP Trust General Secretary Vellapalli Natesan comes up with criticism against Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Forest Minister of Kerala AK Saseendran. Vellappally Natesan said that Rahul Gandhi came to Wayanad with politics in mind. He added that the Chief Minister and the Forest Minister did not visit Wayanad because they thought there would be public anger. Vellappally Natesan remarked while he was talking to the media in Alappuzha.
“Rahul is Wayanad MP who only occasionally visits his constituency. This time, he reached Wayanad shed few tears for the bereaved families of the deceased in the wild life attacks in Wayanad, and left the place,” said Natesan. He said that he didn’t even bother to wipe the tears off the faces of the close ones of the deceased who has lost a very important person in their life.
He also said that it was a mistake on the part of Chief Minister and Forest Minister for not visiting Wayanad and address the grievances of the public. “It is not that they did not want to visit Wayanad; but they did not do so thinking that there would be public outcry,” said Vellappally Natesan.
Rahul Gandhi, Wayanad MP, had visited the families of those killed in wild animal attacks, yesterday morning. He visited the houses of both Ajeesh, a native of Payyampally and Paul, an employee of the Forest Protection Committee, who were killed in separate incidents of wild elephant attacks. Three deaths have been reported in Wayanad due to wild animal attacks and incidentally, the MP of Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi has not visited his constituency for the past three months. There have been protests and also conflicts in Wayanad due to the government negligence in protecting the residents from wild life attacks.
