Kozhikode: NDA state chairman K Surendran said that Kerala is being ruled by an outdated government. In a press conference held in Kozhikode in connection with the Kerala Padayatra, he said that the Chief Minister and the ministers are living in the era of a quarter of a century ago. He said, “The state government is following an antiquated approach while other states are going for modernization. Even though innocent people were killed by wild animals in Wayanad, the Chief Minister has not turned up in Wayanad. Even the Forest Minister reached Wayanad very late, the Chief Minister not visiting Wayanad is highly objectionable. They are nothing but challenging the people. The state forest department has no modern system. There is no system of monitoring with other states.”
Surendran lashed out at Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi. He said, “Rahul Gandhi comes to Kerala only during New Year and Sankranti. He is the curse of Kerala. Rahul has not attended even a single meeting for Wayanad, which is an aspirational district.”
The BJP state president also pointed out that the state government’s argument against the center in the Supreme Court has failed. The Supreme Court said that a solution should be found through discussion with the Centre. The argument that the Center is neglecting Kerala has come to an end. Even though they brought in Kapil Sibal to appear for Kerala, nothing happened. The cause of the financial crisis is the mismanagement of the government in the state. There are no stocks at SupplyCo. The government is unable to contain the price hike. Yet the state is obstructing the supply of Bharat rice. Surendran said that there has never been such a government against the people.
The BJP state president said that the state government is eager to prevent corruption cases from being exposed. Realizing that he and his daughter will be trapped, the Chief Minister is using government systems to save them. The state is not making any effort to solve the problem of the people. The BJP leadership has conveyed everything to the Union Forest and Environment Minister. The people have no hope in the state government. K Surendran assured the people of Kerala that the central government will do whatever it needs to do for the welfare of the people.
