In response to the heightened risk of sunstroke, the state has reorganized the working hours of individuals exposed to the sun. The Labour Commissionerate has issued an order to restructure working hours until April 30. As per the new arrangement, working hours for individuals in the sun have been set from 7 am to 7 pm, with a break for rest from 12 pm to 3 pm.
For those on a shift system, the arrangement includes a break from 12 pm to 3 pm, with shifts resuming thereafter. Special teams, overseen by the District Labor Officer, Deputy Labor Officer, and Assistant Labor Officer, will conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with the new regulations.
