Additionally, Nayas, who also manages social media accounts for PFI, allegedly facilitated weapons training and provided support for the organization’s activities. Despite having a first wife and children residing in Karumam, Nayas entered into a second marriage with Shameera, a native of Palakkad.
Shameera and her newborn lost their lives last day after opted for a home birth without seeking medical assistance. Despite experiencing labor pains, Shameera refused hospital treatment citing religious beliefs against modern medical practices. Nayas attempted to assist her using acupuncture treatment, but Shameera ultimately suffered from severe bleeding and lost consciousness. Both the mother and the newborn passed away after being rushed to the hospital.
