Thiruvananthapuram: In order to verify the parentage of the two-year-old girl, who was kidnapped but later found, the police are set to conduct a DNA test. Their aim is to verify the biological relationship between the child and the individuals claiming to be her parents. Samples obtained from the purported parents have been handed over to forensic experts for analysis.
Currently, the child is under the care of the Child Welfare Committee pending the DNA test results. Efforts are underway to obtain the child’s statement, with efforts focused on presenting photographs of potential suspects to elicit information. In light of ongoing investigations, the police have urged the parents and relatives not to leave the place until the inquiry concludes.
