Thiruvananthapuram: Candidates in the Civil Police Officer (CPO) rank list have been left out once again, even during the ‘Face to Face’ program with the Chief Minister. Despite their protests outside the Secretariat, demanding the jobs they rightfully deserve, these candidates have been ignored. With 10,235 hopefuls awaiting recruitment, their voices remain unheard.
During the Face to Face programme, candidates had requested an opportunity to address their concerns from the Public Service Commission (PSC) sector. However, similar to the Nava Kerala Sadas, only civic leaders were given a platform to pose questions. Despite various audience members from diverse backgrounds raising queries for an hour, the Chief Minister’s responses were not question specific.
Organizers instructed those with remaining questions to submit them in writing, yet despite complying, candidates received no responses. Expressing frustration, one candidate remarked to Janam TV, “All I got was a bag for the ‘Face to Face’ program.”
Since the publication of the CPO rank list on April 30, 2023, candidates have clung to hope that the Chief Minister’s intervention would positively impact their lives. Today marks the 11th day of their protest in front of the Secretariat, as they took to the streets after exhausting all avenues, including filing complaints and participating in the Nava Kerala Sadas, without finding a solution.
