Thiruvananthapuram: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged victorious in the local body by-elections in Kerala. A Madhusudhanan, the BJP candidate, emerged victorious in the by-elections for the Mattannur Municipality Town Ward. This victory marks a significant gain for the BJP, as they claim the seat previously held by the Congress.
Similarly, in the Kovilvila ward of Poovachal Panchayat, Thiruvananthapuram district, K Rajani of the BJP secured a decisive win. Subhash Parambussery of the BJP emerged victorious in the Kidangara Bazar South, Kuttanad, capturing the sitting seat of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)]. This win underscores the BJP’s success in challenging established political strongholds.
