Thiruvananthapuram: Dipu Kalliyoor, Senior Program Producer at Janam TV, received the National Award for directing the best Regional Agriculture Program, Nattuvarambu, telecasted on Janam TV, at the MANAGE Awards Ceremony-2024 in Hyderabad. The ceremony was held at Krishi Chanakya Auditorium on 22nd February 2024.
The Chief Guest of the event Faiz Ahmed Kidwai IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmer’s Welfare, Govt. of India, gave away the awards during the ceremony. Director General, MANAGE (National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management) Dr. P Chandra Shekara gave the Welcome Address and the Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Srinivasacharyulu Attaluri, DD(Knowledge Management), MANAGE. Other dignitaries like Dr. M. Srikanth, Director (ABM), MANAGE and Dr. Saravanan Raj, Director (Agricultural Extension), MANAGE were also present during the ceremony.
National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management, known as MANAGE, is an autonomous extension and agribusiness management institute located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India that comes under the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. National Agri. Film Festival was organized by MANAGE, Hyderabad.
Nattuvarambu that has been honoured with the award for the best agricultural program in regional language, falls under the Natural Farming category. Nattuvarambu has so far completed more than 260 episodes and has received 6 awards from the state government for being informative and helpful for the farmers and the farming industry as a whole.
