Thiruvananthapuram: In light of the upcoming Attukal Pongala festival, authorities have imposed traffic restrictions within the city. Travellers are advised to heed these measures to prevent traffic congestion.
Authorities have advised travellers to take note of certain guidelines to avoid potential traffic congestion. Goods vehicles and heavy vehicles bound for Neyyattinkara today and tomorrow are instructed to utilise the bypass road from Kazhakoottam to Sreekariyam, Kesavadasapuram, Pattom, Vazhuthacaud, and Poojapura.
Furthermore, strict instructions have been issued prohibiting containers, goods vehicles, trucks, and similar vehicles from entering or parking on the temple premises and in the city until 8 o’clock tomorrow evening.
Vehicles arriving from the Venjaramoodu side are directed to pass through Kesavadasapuram, Pattom, Vazhuthacaud and Poojapura, while those from the Peroorkada side are advised to take the route via Oolanpara, Sasthamangalam and Edapazhanji.
It is recommended that vehicles carrying devotees after the Pongala festival to destinations such as Attingal, Venjaramoodu, Kilimanoor, etc., should utilize the route via Eanchakkal, Chakkai, Kazhakootham- Bypass.
