New Delhi: Congress MLA S Vijayadharani, who represents the Vilavancode Assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu, officially joined the BJP today in New Delhi.
The three-time Congress MLA from the Vilavancode constituency in Kanyakumari district joined BJP in the presence of L Murugan, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Information & Broadcasting, Arvind Menon, National Secretary of the BJP, and Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, BJP National Co-Incharge of BJP Tamil Nadu State.
Vijayadharani stated to the media that she was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s developmental vision for the nation. Meanwhile, she expressed dissatisfaction with the Congress party, citing internal party politics as one of the major reasons.
Speaking to the media in New Delhi after joining the BJP, Vijayadharani expressed PM Modi’s activities and developmental programs as reasons for her decision. She also noted that women are given priority in the BJP. Vijayadharani is expected to join the grand BJP rally to be held in Tirunelveli, where Prime Minister Modi will be participating, on February 28.
