Thiruvananthapuram: The Chief Minister has criticized the media for reporting news about gathering people for the ‘Face to Face with CM’ programme.
The press reported that the Chief Minister’s office had given strict instructions to various departments and institutions to gather people for the ‘Face to Face with CM’ programme of the government. But the Chief Minister denied the media reports claiming that there was no need for the government to gather people and those who needed to participate in the programme would join the programme themselves.
The ‘Face to Face with CM’ programme which started from Kozhikode on 18th of this month will end on March 3. The event will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kannur and Kozhikode. The invitation letters prepared in the Chief Minister’s office were handed over to the departments. The government institutions were given responsibility to write names on it and hand it over to specific people and bring them to the programme. However, the Chief Minister rejected this news.
The government is also accused of using prearranged questions during the ‘Face to Face with CM’ programme to ensure that no negative queries were posed against the ruling party.
The state government’s prodigality is at a time when economic crisis is getting denser in Kerala. After Keraleeyam and Nava Kerala Sadas, the state government has found a new way, another farce to spend money. It is the general view of the public that the ‘Face to Face with CM’ programme will not benefit the common man. Recently, the CPO rank holders protesting in front of the Secretariat alleged that the Chief Minister is sending away the complainants without giving answers to their problems.
