Thrissur: Writer T Padmanabhan delivered a greeting with underlying criticism directed towards the Chief Minister during the ‘Face to Face with CM’ program held in Thrissur. Padmanabhan’s remarks suggested that the Chief Minister acknowledge his mistakes and it is the duty of a ‘Karmayogi’ (dedicated to one’s own duty) to rectify them and move ahead.
Padmanabhan noted the numerous allegations against the Kerala government and acknowledged the Chief Minister’s extensive efforts. He suggested that mistakes may have been made, expressing his understanding that the Chief Minister believes so as well. According to Padmanabhan, it is the duty of a ‘Karmayogi’ to address and rectify these mistakes courageously and move forward. He expressed support for the Chief Minister in this endeavor, stating that Kerala stands by him. However, CM Pinarayi Vijayan responded to Padmanabhan’s remarks with silence.
The Chief Minister’s ongoing tensions with the media persisted during the Face to Face program in Thrissur. Although his speech during the inauguration ceremony was permitted to be reported, media personnel were expelled before the Face to Face session with cultural activists commenced.
