Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high-temperature alert for Kerala today, with a yellow alert being issued in nine districts. Residents of Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kannur districts are advised to take precautions as the temperature is expected to soar in these districts.
According to the IMD, the temperature is likely to rise by two to four degrees Celsius from current levels. In Kollam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Palakkad, and Kozhikode districts, the temperature may reach up to 37 degrees Celsius. In Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kannur districts, the temperature may rise to 36 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, residents in these districts are advised to follow the precautions provided by the Health Department.
