Thiruvananthapuram: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the women power behind ISRO, highlighting that more than 5,000 women are at the helm of the organization. He thanked them from the bottom of his heart during his address to scientists at VSSC (Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre).
PM Modi said that ISRO’s continued success was motivating even young children to become scientists. He mentioned that those who made paper airplanes at home would also become aeronautical engineers. He noted that all the children of the country were witnessing success in the field of science and that the success of Chandrayaan 3 had instilled hope in the youth. PM Modi further reported that Bharat had achieved many records in space, including the successful launch of 100 satellites simultaneously.
He added that ISRO had successfully launched XPo Sat and reported that India’s space budget would reach $440 million in the next five years. He mentioned that Bharat would travel to study the moon again in the years to come, collecting data from the lunar surface and bringing it back to Earth.
PM Modi also reported that Bharat’s astronauts would reach the moon on Bharat’s rocket during the Amrit era. He stated that innovations in the field of space had given a new impetus to this sector and reported that Bharat would lead in the field of space as well. He emphasized that the youth could showcase their talents to the world and mentioned that the space industry and ISRO had a big role in building a developed Bharat.
