Thiruvananthapuram: BJP leader PC George said that more than five elected MPs from Kerala will be seen in the Lok Sabha supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the results of upcoming Lok Sabha elections are announced. He said that BJP will win at least five constituencies in Kerala. PC said that Suresh Gopi is a promising candidate and BJP will definitely win in Thrissur. PC George was speaking at the concluding session of the Kerala Padayatra led by BJP state president K Surendran at Central Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.

PC George was the leader of Kerala Janapaksham (Secular) party. He had met the senior leaders of BJP at the Centre recently, to convey his willingness to merge his party with the BJP. His party’s merger with the BJP was announced during the event at Central Stadium today where PC and his party members were welcomed to the BJP with great enthusiasm.

During his speech, PC George appealed for the central government to take charge of Sabarimala and its surrounding areas so as to keep it pure and safe from the clutches of the atheist government of Kerala. He also called for initiating his earlier request of implementing two high court benches in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala.

He highlighted that the new complex of Kerala High Court which is being planned to be built 14 kms away from the present complex, would cost crores of money for the state. Instead if there are High Court benches in Thiruvananthapuram, it would save not only the money costing for the new complex construction but also will cut the expenditure on the travel expenses and other incurring amounts for Ministers and other officials appearing for cases in High Court situated in Ernakulam.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the concluding session of the Kerala Padayatra led by BJP State President, K Surendran at the Central Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. The Prime Minister said that despite the lack of support from the state government, the Center is giving priority to Kerala. He expressed confidence that Kerala will support NDA this time. The Prime Minister said in his speech that the 2024 election will be an election to take Bharat forward.
