His party’s merger with the BJP was announced during the event at Central Stadium today where PC and his party members were welcomed to the BJP with great enthusiasm.
During his speech, PC George appealed for the central government to take charge of Sabarimala and its surrounding areas so as to keep it pure and safe from the clutches of the atheist government of Kerala. He also called for initiating his earlier request of implementing two high court benches in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala.
He highlighted that the new complex of Kerala High Court which is being planned to be built 14 kms away from the present complex, would cost crores of money for the state. Instead if there are High Court benches in Thiruvananthapuram, it would save not only the money costing for the new complex construction but also will cut the expenditure on the travel expenses and other incurring amounts for Ministers and other officials appearing for cases in High Court situated in Ernakulam.
