Incident of assault on female law student: DYFI leader expelled from college

Pathanamthitta: Jaison Joseph, a leader of DYFI, accused in the assault of a female law student, has been expelled from Mount Zion Law College, Pathanamthitta. Jaison serves as the Perunad block Secretary and is a member of the CPI(M) area committee.

The incident related to the case occurred two months ago. Initially, the police did not register a case based on the complaint alleging that the accused assaulted the student. However, he was later arrested following a protest by the students.
