Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that many official residences in Kerala, including the Cliff House, are in a deplorable condition. He mentioned that it was not possible to keep a glass of water open in the bedroom, and added that the guest houses, which were once the pride of Kerala, are now deteriorating.
The Chief Minister also remarked that people believe Ministers reside in rooms with great comforts. However, he clarified that ministers actually live in many buildings with the fear that civet cats might urinate in the drinking water.The Chief Minister’s remarks came when he laid the foundation stone of the new residential complex being constructed by the state government for IAS officers.
