Thiruvananthapuram: BJP State Vice Chairman PK Krishnadas remarked on the unpredictable nature of politics, citing the remarkable turnaround of the BJP from winning merely two seats in 1984 to securing a sweeping victory with 303 seats in the recent past. Expressing confidence in Kerala’s political landscape, Krishnadas highlighted the BJP’s rising vote share and anticipated significant positive changes in the state. He reiterated the party’s belief that Keralites would respond favorably to the Prime Minister’s call for double-digit representation in parliament for the BJP.
He ridiculed the fact that while it took the Communist Party decades to lose ground in Bengal and Tripura, Pinarayi Vijayan managed to achieve a similar decline in just 10 years in Kerala. Krishnadas asserted that both LDF and UDF are progressively weakening, accusing them of descending into obscene fronts. He also claimed that the Muslim League chose its candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha election at the AKG Centre. He suggested that if the CPI(M) had a say in who the Muslim League chose, it would reveal hidden connections between the two parties.
He claimed that the reason LDF and CPI(M) are compromising to communalists and terrorists is because they lack confidence. He explained that in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, CPI(M) plans to support LDF in Malappuram and Ponnani, while the Muslim League will back LDF in other constituencies. This, he argued, demonstrated CPI(M)’s religious appeasement tactics. Responding to the media, PK Krishnadas also pointed out that Congress is attempting even more appeasement than CPI(M).
