Wayanad: SFI is trying to escape the responsibility in the death of Siddharth, a second-year BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) student of Pookode Veterinary College, Wayanad. SFI claims that the incident is being given political color for mere political gains. The justification is through a statement released by SFI State Secretary P.M. Arsho and President K Anushree.
The statement conveyed that in the preliminary investigation and postmortem report, it was revealed that the student had been assaulted days before his suicide. Additionally, SFI expelled the accused workers involved in the incident, while the Wayanad District Committee issued a statement calling for punishment for those responsible for the student’s death.
The statement added that SFI is being hounded at every opportunity by distorting the facts and emphasized that SFI has no history of protecting anyone involved in such issues. The statement also said that right-wing organizations should stop using the student’s death for mere political gains.
