Thiruvananthapuram: Criticism has emerged against SFI leaders who visited the home of Siddharth, a BVSc student who was found dead at the Pookode Veterinary University campus. SFI state president K Anusree, SFI Central Committee Member Hassan Mubarak, district president M A Nandan, District Secretary SK Adarsh, and others visited Siddharth’s parents under the pretext of offering condolences.
Despite Siddharth’s father T Jayaprakash asserting that his son did not commit suicide and was instead beaten to death by SFI members, the SFI leaders proceeded with their visit. This move has sparked criticism, with many alleging that the SFI leaders are merely putting on a facade of sympathy to cover up the truth.
Siddharth’s mother, Sheeba had revealed that her son was assaulted by SFI members for dancing with senior female students at a Valentine’s Day event on February 14th. She claimed that Siddharth was stripped naked and beaten in front of more than 100 students, subjected to repeated belt lashes, and deprived of food and water for three days.
