Wayanad: In the ongoing investigation into the death of Siddharth, a second-year student at Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) in Pookode, Wayanad, two more prime accused have been apprehended. Sinjo Johnson and Kashinathan, identified as the masterminds behind the brutal mob trial against Siddharth, are now in police custody. Kashinathan voluntarily surrendered to the authorities, while Sinjo was apprehended by police officers in Karunagappalli.
Earlier, a lookout notice had been issued for four suspects involved in Siddharth’s death, and now, with these arrests, half of them are in custody. Sinjo Johnson, who had allegedly played a significant role in the assault on Siddharth, was tracked down at a relative’s residence in Karunagappalli, Kollam. Reports suggest that Sinjo had also intimidated other students to keep silent about the incident. Siddharth’s father had previously identified Sinjo Johnson as the main perpetrator of the brutal assault on his son.
Sinjo’s arrest came after the police received confidential information regarding his whereabouts. Currently, the authorities have detained a total of ten individuals in connection with the case. Three suspects are currently in police custody and are undergoing extensive interrogation as the investigation progresses.
