Kochi: The High Court (HC) has directed the government to respond to the fabricated case leveled against Sheela Sunny, who owns a beauty parlor in Chalakudy. This order comes following a petition filed by Sheela Sunny herself in the High Court, alleging deliberate defamation by excise officials. Sheela Sunny sought compensation of Rs 10 lakh, prompting the court to issue notices to the accused excise officials. The HC stressed on the seriousness of the false drug allegations against Sheela stating that spending 72 days in jail under false drug charges is extremely shocking.
Kerala Government, Excise Commissioner, Additional Excise Commissioner and Assistant Excise Commissioner are the defendants one to four in the case. Justice Devan Ramachandran ordered them to give a comprehensive answer in the fabricated drug case against Sheela Sunny. He stated that the case will be considered again on the 7th of this month.
The crime branch had discovered that Narayanadas, an acquaintance of Sheela, had framed her in the fake case. It was also found that Narayanadas had alerted the excise department about drugs kept in Sheela’s scooter. Following this, Sheela Sunny was arrested and kept 72 days in jail under allegations of keeping in possession the deadly drug LSD stamp. Later, in a chemical test, it was revealed that the thing found in Sheela’s bag was not LSD stamp. In light of this revelation, an investigation was launched to ascertain the source of the fabricated information.
LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide), is an extremely potent hallucinogen. Hallucinations are when you see, hear, feel, taste, or smell something that seems real but is not.
