Kollam:The Dean and Assistant Warden of Pookode Veterinary College have been suspended in connection with the tragic death of Siddharth, a second year veterinary student. Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, J. Chinchu Rani, stated that they were suspended due to identified lapses in their duties.
Chinchu Rani remarked that the Dean had not fulfilled his duty and and that he needn’t talk about the shortage of staffs . She stressed that the Dean’s primary obligation is to perform his own duties, which had not occurred in this case. Chinchu Rani also announced plans to install CCTV surveillance in the hostel premises in response to the fatal attack that led to Siddharth’s death.
