Thiruvananthapuram: The accused has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a 2-year-old girl child of migrant workers in Pettah. The arrest was made by a special team led by DCP Nidin Raj in Kollam. Further information about the suspect has not been released by the police.
The accused had been under police surveillance for the last two days. Authorities have stated that crucial information was obtained during the interrogation, which will be disclosed today when Commissioner CK Nagaraju will meet with the media at 6 pm.
The incident occurred on February 19 when a 2-year-old child of Amardeep and Ramina, natives of Bihar, was abducted. After 20 hours of intense searching, the baby was found.
