Wayanad: In a new development in the Sidharth’s death case, the ambulance driver who took Sidharth to the hospital from the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University hostel campus in Pookode, Wayanad, refuted the arguments made by Veterinary College Dean, Dr. MK Narayanan.
Speaking to Janam TV, the ambulance driver, Nikhil, revealed that Dr. Narayanan’s claim of conveying the message of Sidharth’s death to his family within ten minutes was a lie. He expressed his surprise and shock at the Dean’s claim. Nikhil recounted the day, mentioning that the Dean had asked him whether Sidharth’s parents were informed about his death. He also noted the presence of SFI members at the hospital along with Sidharth’s deceased body.
Earlier, Dr. Narayanan, the Veterinary College Dean, stated that there was no failure on his part in connection with the second-year Veterinary student’s death at the hostel. He claimed to have conveyed the message of Sidharth’s death to his family within 10 minutes after the doctors confirmed it. Narayanan’s this claim was refuted by the ambulance driver.
Dr. Narayanan also said that his job as Dean is not a ‘Security’ service. He also made a strange justification, stating that he could not visit the hostel every day.
Meanwhile, several allegations emerged that Dr. Narayanan was favouring SFI attackers. ABVP launched several protests against the authorities who sided with the accused. Amid these controversies, Dr. Narayanan was suspended from the post of Dean of the Pookode Veterinary College.
The evidence collection at the Pookode Veterinary campus by the police continued today. It took place inside room number 21 of the hostel and in the hostel building’s courtyard, where Sidharth was brutally assaulted. The investigation team found all the weapons used for the attack from the hostel room. It is reported that the investigation team conducted the evidence collection with accused Rahan Binoy and Akash. The team, led by Kalpetta DySP Sajeev, supervised the evidence gathering process.
