Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister V. Muraleedharan has said that the incident that happened at the Pookod campus is similar to the Taliban rule. Speaking to the media during the satyagraha held in Nedumangad, V. Muraleedharan demanded central investigation agency in Siddharth’s case.
V. Muraleedharan highlighted the significance of satyagraha, saying that this campaign is to fight for Siddhart’s justice. Muraleedharan said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should be ready to hand over the case to the central agency. He also said that exemplary action should be taken against the accused. There was political interference in the case. He also said that former MLA Saseendran intervened on behalf of the accused.
Accusing the CPI (M) of attempting to tamper with evidence through police investigation, Muraleedharan asserted that more suspects are yet to be arrested. He said that the girl’s complaint against Siddharth was fabricated.
He said that the Kerala police are helpless and unable to do anything in this case. That is why a central inquiry is called for. V. Muraleedharan said that new light has come into the universities after the Governor, Arif Mohammed Khan, took over the responsibility of the Chancellor of all Universities. He concluded by stating that those who try to protect the murderers would face consequences akin to how the British had to flee from Bharat.
