Kozhikode: The Calicut University has issued precautionary directives as jaundice outbreak has become rampant on the campus. The university has advised all visitors to the campus, including students, teachers, and staff, to exercise caution regarding jaundice. The university order also emphasizes that all individuals on the campus should take immediate precautions and measures to ensure health and safety regarding water consumption and public health.
At the sametime, due to the spread of Viral Hepatitis in Malappuram, there is suspicion that jaundice outbreak is a part of this. It is also recommended to seek medical treatment immediately and avoid self-medication, if anyone notices any symptoms related to jaundice. Its main symptoms include fever, vomiting, yellow urine, yellowish eyes, and diarrhea.
