Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert predicting a rise in temperatures across 8 districts of Kerala today. A yellow alert has been declared in Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kannur, Kasaragod, Kottayam, and Kollam districts. According to IMD forecasts, temperatures are expected to rise by two to four degrees Celsius in these regions.
Thrissur, Palakkad, Kollam, and Kottayam districts may experience maximum temperatures rising up to 38 degrees Celsius. In other districts, temperatures are likely to range between 36 and 37 degrees Celsius. The IMD advises caution to residents, particularly between 11 am and 4 pm, due to the heightened risk of sunburn during these hours.
