Thiruvananthapuram: Mar Ivanios College has filed a complaint against the Kerala University Union to Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, who also serves as the University Chancellor. According to the complaint, a group attempted to sabotage the competitions and threatened students, parents, and judges.
The complaint further alleges that this group sought to disrupt the competitions of Mar Ivanios College at the youth festival. It also demands that student safety be prioritized and steps be taken to conduct the youth festival transparently.
Unprecedented developments have unfolded on the Kerala University youth festival stage over the last two days. The issues at the youth festival venue began with the announcement of the verdict in the ‘Margamkali’ competition. Mar Ivanios College claimed first place, with Swathi Thirunal College and University College securing second and third place respectively. Meanwhile, yesterday (Saturday), three judges were arrested on charges of bribery at the venue for favoring certain participants. As a result, the youth festival has been partially suspended for two days.
