Thiruvananthapuram : The University College faculty have been transferred by the concerned authorities for violating code of conduct of the college. At the time of the conflict in the college, eleven persons including principal in charge K Viswabharan were transferred.
The Department of Education has observed that teachers are responsible for serious lapses in execution and paper leakage. Another reason for the action taken was that the dangerous criminal gangs among students were not paid enough attention.
Prof. E Abdul Latheef, who was in-charge of the answer papers and Union Advisor V S Vineeth have been transferred. Anand B Dileep Raj, a pro-CPM teachers organization, AKGCT in-charge have also been transferred.
Teachers’ organisations, however, say that the governor’s intervention has led to further action. Even in the matters of teachers, student criminals were used to threaten and with the support of other student organisations, they directly reported to the governor.
