Thiruvananthapuram: Authorities have issued a temperature hike alert for ten districts in the state. The affected districts include Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, and Kannur. It is reported that the temperature hike is expected to prevail until Wednesday.
According to reports, temperature could climb up to 39 degrees Celsius in Palakkad and Kollam districts, while Alappuzha and Kozhikode districts may experience temperature reaching up to 38 degrees Celsius. Residents in Kottayam, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, and Kannur are also advised to take necessary precautions.
Meanwhile, there is a possibility of light rain in four districts today. An alert has been issued for Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, and Thrissur districts.
Furthermore, the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has alerted coastal regions of Kerala about the possibility of waves reaching up to one and a half metres in height, along with stormy seas.
