Thrissur: Fearing a potential loss in the Thrissur constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, CPI(M) member destroyed posters of BJP candidate Suresh Gopi. The incident took place last night in Iringapuram, Thrissur. Upon knowing the incident, a BJP member who questioned it was brutally attacked by CPI(M) members.
BJP Guruvayur Area General Secretary, Pradeep Panikkasheri, was assaulted by CPI(M) activists.
Video footage has surfaced showing a CPI(M) member destroying BJP posters, and a BJP member being assaulted in the footage.
The CPI(M) leader, under the influence of alcohol, tore the BJP’s posters one by one. The assailant identified as the nephew of former Iringapram Panchayath Councilor Shanil.
Upon witnessing the incident, Pradeep Panikkasheri, who questioned it, was brutally beaten up and abused by the CPI(M) leader and other members. Later, the injured Pradeep Panikkasheri was admitted to Chavakkad Taluk Hospital.
