Kochi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a death threat last morning. Police arrested the culprit, Shamsuddin, who sent the threatening message.
Shamsuddin, a resident of Poickattussery, Nedumbassery, made the threat call by dialing the police emergency response number 112, indicating intentions to assassinate the Prime Minister and set fire to the police station in Kannur.
Nedumbassery police confirmed the arrest and conducted an interrogation of the accused. He was later released on bail, with authorities citing him to be mentally ill.
