Thrissur: BJP vehemently protested against CPI(M) members who damaged posters of Thrissur BJP candidate Suresh Gopi and assaulted a BJP leader who questioned the CPI(M) member responsible for damaging the posters. BJP demanded the arrest of the assailants.
BJP staged the protest under the leadership of the BJP Guruvayur Constituency Committee, demanding the arrest of the CPI(M) assailants.
The protest was held under the chairmanship of Guruvayur Constituency President Anil Mancharambath, with several BJP members joining the demonstration.
On March 17th, in the night, a CPI(M) member destroyed posters of BJP candidate Suresh Gopi in Iringapuram, Thrissur. Upon learning of the incident, BJP Guruvayur Area General Secretary Pradeep Panikkasheri questioned the incident and was brutally attacked by CPI(M) members.
Video footage has surfaced showing a CPI(M) member destroying BJP posters, and the BJP member being assaulted in the footage. The injured Pradeep Panikkasheri was admitted to Chavakkad Taluk Hospital.
