Thrissur: A BJP activist was assaulted by CPI (M) activists after questioning the tearing of posters of NDA candidate Suresh Gopi. The incident occurred in Iringapuram, Guruvayur, where CPI (M) activists allegedly unleashed violence against Pradeep, a vegetable trader residing in Kottapadi.
Pradeep, who witnessed the tearing of Suresh Gopi’s posters by the CPI (M) activists, voiced his concern, prompting a brutal attack by three individuals against Pradeep. Pradeep sustained serious injuries in the attack and was subsequently admitted to Chavakad Taluk Hospital for treatment.
In response to the violence, the BJP had organised a protest from Kottapadi Junction to Iringapuram. Over 200 people have participated in the protest, condemning the CPI (M)’s actions and demanding justice for Pradeep.
