Islamabad: Pakistan military again raised the tensions between India and Pakistan concerning Kashmir issue. The Military spokesperson, Major General, Asif Ghafoor, said that the country do not adhere to the ‘No First Use’ policy when it comes to nuclear weapons.
The spokesperson said, “We do not have a ‘no first use’ policy… Our weapons are for deterrence… As far as India is concerned, it is up to them to formulate any such policy.”
Pakistan’s military’s remarks comes just days after the country’s Prime Minister, Imran Khan said that Pakistan would not be the one to start a war with India. The military is trying to regain its belligerent stand after Imran Khan tried to scale down the war rhetoric.
Pakistan has been isolated internationally in the Kashmir issue with all the major powers, barring China, snubbing the Islamic nation. Even Muslim countries chose to support India and maintained that Kashmir is the internal issue of India.
