Islamabad: Pakistan’s undesirable crackdown on terrorism is exposed again after a photo surfaced on social media that showed ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) top political leaders sharing a stage with US-designated terrorist Maulana Fazlur Rehman Khalil.

The photo was shared by journalist Asif Shahzad, taken from All Parties Kashmir Solidarity Conference in Islamabad. President of Pakistan occupied Kashmir Masood Khan and Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Firdous Ashiq Awan among other prominent leaders.

The presence of Khalil and founder of the terrorist organisation Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (HuM), in the event, meant to garner support for Kashmir was questionable.

HuM, is believed to have direct contact with Osama Bin Laden and his family and has been on the US State department’s foreign terrorist organisation list since 1997.
