Houston: The massive gathering of ‘Howdy Modi’ to welcome Narendra Modi is underway at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The program attended by many US lawmakers and Governors have attracted huge crowds from across the United States.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump entered the stage the duo was met with a deafening applause which showed the depth and love the US-Indians have for the two leaders.
Narendra Modi showered lots of praise on Donald Trump before the President addressed the crowd. He said that Trump has made USA great again and extolled his abilities as a leader who exudes warmth, friendship, and wit.
Modi said, “He has already made the American economy strong again. He has achieved much for the US and for the world. We in India have connected well to him.”
He added, “When I met him for the first time, he said India has a true friend in White House. Your presence here today is great testimony to that. In these years, our two nations have taken the relationship to new heights.”
Modi also endorsed Donald Trump for a second time as President by saying, “Abki Baar Trump Sarkar.” This was received by a thundering applause from the 50,000 strong Indians.
