Warsaw: A bomb exploded that claimed lives of two Polish soldiers who were attempting to defuse it and four others were injured on Tuesday, said Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak.
The bomb dated back to World War II, a local media reported. The explosion occurred in the forest near the town of Kuznia Raciborska, the military said.
The people walking in the forest had found artillery shells followed by which the troops were tasked with neutralizing the shells.
World War II bombs are still often found in Poland which was invaded by Nazi Germany.
