Peshawar: Pakistan Chief of Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa has been serving at the top post even after being an Ahmadi Muslim.
A petition has been filed by former Major Khalid Shah in Peshawar High Court alleging that Bajwa belongs to Qadiani community.
Qadianis or also known as Ahmadi Muslims in Pakistan have been declared as non-Muslims by the heads of all sects. Not only that, according to Pakistan’s Constitution, a non-Muslim officer cannot be appointed as the army chief.
In the plea, DG ISI Rizwan Akhtar has also been named after he failed to fulfil his duty. As a Muslim he did not inform the government that Bajwa does not belong to the religion.
